Even if you have left your own bike at home, you don’t have to do without pedalling fun as at our sport hotel in Avelengo we offer free mountain bike rental. Against a fee you can also rent one of our e-bikes.
When the
trails are calling
Get in to the saddle and unwind. Take a joy-ride to happiness or ride into the sunset. At the sport hotel in Avelengo you can turn wherever you want and still find the most beautiful cycling paths. Riding an electric bike you can go even higher. Explore the diversity, the endless possibilities here and enjoy your bike holiday at the sport hotel South Tyrol.
From the hotel, head towards Avelengo village to the parking lot (below the parish church). From there, take hiking trail No. 16, leading you to Leadner Alm. Continue with a gentle ascent along trail No. 11 to Vöraner Alm (1875 m). For the return journey, it is recommended to take the field path 2A over Wurzeralm (1,707 m) back to Avelengo village. The entire tour mostly follows wide forest paths, passing by the idyllic Bruggen pond and some opportunities to stop for refreshments.
Duration: approximately 3.5 hours
From the hotel, head to the Falzeben parking lot. From there, follow trail No. 14 to the Rotwand Hütte, and from there, ascend to Kirchsteiger Alm. The long-distance hiking trail E5 (No. 4) will take you from here to Kreuzjöchl at 1,984 meters before turning right onto trail No. 15. After reaching Maiser Alm, continue on trail No. 17A and later 17. After a bridge, dismount and push your bike for a short distance. Follow trail No. 14 to return to Falzeben.
